Class Hierarchy

• distutils.cmd.Command: Abstract base class for defining command classes, the "worker bees" of the Distutils.
  • distutils.command.build_ext.build_ext
    • _setup.ext.BuildExt: Extended extension builder class
  • distutils.command.install.install
    • _setup.data.Install: Extended installer to reflect the additional data options
  • distutils.command.install_data.install_data
    • _setup.data.InstallData: Extended data installer
• distutils.extension.Extension: Just a collection of attributes that describes an extension module and everything needed to build it (hopefully in a portable way, but there are hooks that let you be as unportable as you need).
  • _setup.ext.Extension: Extension with prerequisite check interface
• object: The most base type
  • exceptions.BaseException: Common base class for all exceptions
    • exceptions.Exception: Common base class for all non-exit exceptions.
      • _setup.dev._pylint.NotFinished: Exception used for message passing in the stream filter
